Carb Drink 60 + Gel 40 + Clear Recovery Drink°
The facts

WHAT IS
THE PROLINE?

Scientifically sound
The PROLINE was developed in collaboration with scientific experts and professional athletes and tested under real competition conditions.
During exertion
PROLINE delivers carbohydrates in a 1:0.8 ratio. Individually combinable, depending on what the session requires. Example: Gel 40 + Carb Drink 60 = 100 g carbs per hour.
After exercise
The Clear Recovery Drink replenishes what is empty: carbohydrates, protein, L-leucine, and L-glutamine in a clear, refreshingly fruity drink.
Cologne List® · Every Batch Tested
Every batch is tested for selected doping substances by a world-leading laboratory - so you can focus on what matters: your performance.
The carb ratio

Why 1:0.8?

Two transport pathways instead of one.

Glucose is absorbed via the sodium-dependent transporter SGLT1. This is limited to 60 g per hour. Fructose uses the independent transporter GLUT5. Combining both pathways allows for a significantly higher carbohydrate intake.

PROLINE works with a ratio of 1:0.8, thereby maximally utilizing both transporters.

Why

The combination of proteins and carbohydrates helps the body replenish glycogen stores after exercise and supports muscle protein synthesis with valuable BCAAs. Dissolve 1 serving in 500 ml of water within the first 60 minutes after exercise.

What's inside

33 g of carbohydrates and 20 g of protein per serving, supplemented with 3 g of L-leucine and 3 g of L-glutamine.⁴

Proteins contribute to an increase in and the maintenance of muscle mass.³

Clear Whey

Refreshing, fruity taste. Mango-passion fruit and lime, light and tangy like a cold lemonade.

Behind the Scenes

The right nutrition.

Performance diagnostics

Lactate threshold test & spiroergometry

By precisely measuring lactate kinetics, oxygen consumption, and carbohydrate usage under exertion, your individual carbohydrate requirements are defined.

Preparation

Training

The intake of high amounts of carbohydrates should be practiced during training so that the stomach can get used to it.

Field test

Competition

To ensure that athletes can deliver their maximum performance at the crucial moment, PROLINE products have already been used and tested by top athletes in competition.

— Frequently Asked Questions

FAQ

Who was the PROLINE developed for?

PROLINE was developed for anyone who refuses to make compromises in training or competition. Our PROLINE provides carbohydrates in a 1:0.8 ratio. It can be combined individually, depending on what the session requires. The Clear Recovery Drink° replenishes what has been depleted: carbohydrates, protein, L-leucine, and L-glutamine in a clear, refreshingly fruity drink.

What distinguishes the PROLINE from the previous Dextro Energy* range?

The ratio of carbohydrates. PROLINE shifts it to 1:0.8. The higher fructose content maximizes the use of the second absorption pathway, GLUT5, allowing up to 120 g of carbohydrates per hour to be absorbed with good tolerance.

How do Gel 40, Carb Drink 60, and Clear Recovery Drink complement each other?

Carb Drink 60 is the foundation as long as you have a bottle with you: it provides carbohydrates, fluids, and electrolytes all in one. Gel 40 serves as a targeted supplement and works wherever drinking is impractical. Together, they provide 100 g of carbohydrates per hour. The Clear Recovery Drink° follows afterwards.

How many carbohydrates per hour do I need?

Short endurance training: 30–40 g/h.

Long endurance training: 60–80 g/h.

Intensive training and competition: 80–120 g/h.

How many gels and drinks should I consume?

The rule of thumb: calculate in grams, not by quantity. One Carb Drink 60 plus one gel 40 equals 100 g of carbohydrates – multiply that by your expected duration of exercise, and you know what you need. Example: around 3 hours at 90 g per hour ≈ 270 g.

When should I take the 40 Lemon Caffeine gel?

Caffeine takes effect approximately 30 - 60 minutes after ingestion. Therefore, the gel should be taken within this timeframe before a competition or an intense training session. A second gel can be used at halftime or towards the end. Guideline: 3 - 5 mg of caffeine per kg of body weight.

When should I take the Clear Recovery Drink?

We recommend consuming the Clear Recovery Drink° shortly after your workout to promote rapid recovery. 33 g of carbohydrates and 20 g of protein per serving, supplemented with 3 g of L-leucine and 3 g of L-glutamine⁴. Proteins contribute to the growth and maintenance of muscle mass³.

The Clear Recovery Drink° foams after shaking; why is that?

We have consciously opted against using a chemical defoamer. After shaking, you should wait a few minutes or, even better, prepare the Clear Recovery Drink° before your session, chill it in the refrigerator, and then enjoy it ice-cold after your workout.

What does "Every Batch Tested" mean on the Cologne List®?

The Cologne List® is a doping prevention initiative that lists nutritional supplements (NEM) that have been tested for selected doping substances by a laboratory that is a world leader in NEM analysis for doping substances. Each batch of PROLINE is tested by the Cologne List®.

Does a high carbohydrate intake need to be trained?

Yes. The absorption capacity can be adjusted, but not overnight. Those who have been consuming 40 g per hour should increase it gradually. Plan for a few weeks, and then the higher intake will be well-tolerated.

Do I need to drink water with the gel?

Gel 40 does not require additional water. Drinking throughout your activity is still necessary to maintain fluid balance – requirements depend on duration, intensity, and temperature.

Should I test the products during training before the competition?

Absolutely. Race day is the worst time for experiments. Test amount and timing in sessions that resemble the race – same intensity, same time of day, same intervals. What works in training usually works on race day, too.

Are the products vegan?

Gel 40 and Carb Drink 60 are vegan. The Clear Recovery Drink° is not vegan due to the whey protein isolate. You can find the complete list of ingredients and allergens on each product page and on the packaging.
